Have 2 beers to equal one of ours (I'll never forget the day when we had to pour a 6' 4" Louisianian into a cab because he thought he could keep up with us).
And no, just because there's a plug hanging out from the hood of our cars doesn't mean the car is electric; it's a block heater. Most of all, not all of us say "eh" and most of us say

Gawd! One of these days, I'll start a "Oh say can you see?" thread about the U.S of A. It's all in good fun!

Oh! By the way! We reached a balmy 50F today. There I was, in shorts, t-shirt and light vest, scraping off the ice in the driveway and the deck. It's January!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, I know, it's going to change soon, but damn, my igloo almost melted!

We're going to dip down in the next few days, but nothing drastic. It's all right. Still a few more months to go until Spring. Then.... That's when Mother Nature hits us with the cruel stuff. Trees in foliage? A foot of wet snow to break all the branches. The weather in Alberta is totally unpredictable. You don't like what's happening now? Wait 5 minutes! I once took a little trip to Bragg Creek (45 minutes from Calgary) and ran into 4 different weather patterns. Hot, cold, rainy, snowy. That was in September.

The Rockies are a great ally when it comes to protecting us from Pacific storms. But when the stuff comes from the U.S (Alaska), we're doomed!

we have that same saying here that you have..from her to thunder bay there a hill just outside of nipegon ...no matter what time of year it is whatever the weather is on one side by the time you get over it you have had anything from rain and hail to snow...when we get Alberta clippers Colorado lows and nor'easter..we are dumped on big time
