When later versions cannot be purchased for less than $60, it aint worth the risk of buying something else that might not work.

Didn't know if there were trial versions around.

I tried afew, only to discover you cannot use half the tools until you pay.

No, the point I was making is if they work then your version is not compatible with windows 10.....PSP 9 will download on 7 or 10 but is almost unusable as it crashes every 5 minutes.

I have PSP 9, but it still lacks most of the functions I had become accustomed to.

My (very rarely but stranger things have happened) better half used the longbow reviver to get older programs work on Windows 10.
Don't know if it was just dumb luck......but he was as happy as a kid in a candy store.
I hasten to add that he is very easy to please.

I'll try to get back to trying to find a free copy of that later. Hubby needs me to take him to work this morning, and then (as per usual) life happens.

    Thanks.

Why not partition your hard drive and run both?

It looks like I am not allowed to put any OS other than 10 on the new partition I created. When I tried, Windows 10 even managed to "unallocate" said partition.

Not going to that version. Quite happy with what I've got. Microsoft is screwing up again.

My BF hates it so far. He calls it a buggy beta mess. I switch between OSX and a PC for work so I don't see all the hiccups. I know on one of his laptops he went back to Windows 7, but something about the 30 day limit on his other build means he's stuck with Windows 10.

If he re-installs using the disc, or a factory reset from a partition on the hard drive, should put it back to windows 7, just make sure he looks at the updates afterwards to stop it upgrading to windows 10 again.......

Bottom line is if you just use the computer for coming here and surfing the web, then I'd say stay with windows 7.
