    Default D Day

Sorry I am a bit late posting this. But today, June 6th, is the anniversary of D-Day. Many of us know the meaning of this day. Others, well.....

Thousands of people died on this day in order to keep Europe free of the German despots.

It is an important date for all of us who had relatives who fought in WWII.

For those who do not even know about World War Two, please go to your nearest library and read up on it!

Yes, I am very pissed off about some of the ignorant comments I read in here about the whole damned war that seems to have been erased in history.

one thing always comes to mind when reading or hearing or seeing anything about D Day:

how terrified those men must've been, knowing they were, seeing that they were heading for certain death
    and still they went

We always had a large parade back home where the VFW always lead off thinking back that is where I learned to stand when the first American flag passed by.
Just moving here to a new apt. I have meet some neighbors and one of them a Canadian snowbird with his wife of 60+ years is a vet. of WWII. Of course I thanked him for his service and had a good conversation.

It only gets me really super pissed off where my head is about to explode is when I read a collume in a newspaper saying a local high school teacher was heard saying to his kids. "Now we are going to learn about World War Eleven.
