This tutorial is how to get your text to curve around.
I'll start with this picture
1.Goto the PRESET SHAPE TOOL,and use the drop down arrow to choose the shape ECLIPSE
Have ANTI ALIAS and CREATE AS VECTOR ticked, they might be hidden as theres too many tools for the bar, click the arrows to find them.
Make the line size 2.00 and the FOREGROUND Black.
The BACKGROUND AND FILL PROPERTIES box..click the bottom right hand corner
It looks like a circle with a line through it,this makes the background transparent
2.Now make the Eclipse, leaving room along the top for the text, otherwise undo and try again.
3.Now it's time for the TEXT,Theres a lot more styles than I've told you about before.
First thing to do is click the right hand corner of BACKGROUND AND FILL PROPERTIES,this is to turn on the colours for that tool box. Then click the right hand corner of FOREGROUND and STROKE properties, this is to make the foreground transparent.
4.Now click in the BACKGROUND and FILL PROPERTIES box and this will give you the colour pop up box.
If you click on GRADIENT,then EDIT you'll get a lot more styles to choose from.
Once you've chose your style from there click close then check the drop down arrow and they'll be even more styles,Also check PATTERN and TEXTURE for a lot more.
Also under edit is more styles.
Once you've made your text design click OK
5.Now move your TEXT tool slowly along the eclipse then you'll see the A turn into a slanted A with a curved line underneath it,when you see that left click, type the text then click apply.
6.You can now use the handles to adjust the text a little to how you like it.
Then click CTRL and D to deselect.
No need to worry to much yet,it can still be edited a little.
7.Now goto VIEW..PALETTES..LAYERS.
This will show the layer palette.
Click on the cross for Vector 1 and this will open up to show the text and the Eclipse.
Now click on the eye by the Eclipse to hide the Eclipse.
8.Still in the layer palette right click by the text layer then goto CREATE RASTER SELECTION
Now goto SELECTION..PROMOTE SELECTION TO LAYER.
9.Now when you go back to view the layer palette it will have the new promoted layer there,so you can goto vector 1,right click and delete it.
10.You can now select the RASTER DEFORM TOOL..It's under the hand, and use that to move the curved text the way you want it.
Once you're happy with it click the move tool to deselect.
Then goto LAYERS..MERGE..MERGE ALL
That's that tutorial finished.I hope you enjoyed it.
