I dont know if it's my computer but the rainbow with the green lanscape looked perfect when I first saw it.
Yesterday it had a bluey tint to it and today light blue is spreading under the dark blue tint
I dont know if it is my eyes or what, but yea the more I see it the more it doesnt look right! LOL

I need a bit of help. I found some different things to use as quills, but they have backgrounds or arent transparent. How do I fix it? Is there a way in PSP? I want to make something special for someone, and I hunted all nite for these things, so it sucks that they have "other stuff" in them. Thanks.

I found a clip art site that lets you edit the pic right there, I liked it and found all kinds of stuff to use later on. http://www.1clipart.com/index.php

This tutorial is for making a metal effect name.
You will need Redfield Jama 3D Plug in.
You may already have it,if not you can download it here.
CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE REDFIELD PLUG IN SET

1.First thing to do is open a new image 400 x 400
And make the background colour TRANSPARENT.

2.Now click on the circle with a line through it,at the bottom of the foreground and stroke properties paintbox.
Then click in the Background and fill properties paintbox.
Now in the Material properties box, near the bottom where it says html make it #FF8000
Then click OK

3.Now click on the TEXT TOOL.
Make the size 48,Create as FLOATING.
Then choose your font,I'm using Comic Sans MS

4.Now create your name and use the MOVE TOOL to get it onto the transparent sheet.
It should look like this.

5..Now goto VIEW..PALETTES..LAYERS.
Right click where it says FLOATING SELECTION and goto PROMOTE SELECTION TO LAYER.

6.Now goto EFFECTS..PLUG INS..REDFIELD..JAMA 3D.
You may get a warning come up,if you do just click OK.

7.Now first make the drop down box just above the tick and cross EMBOSSED SHEET.
Then make these the settings. Then click the tick.

8.Now goto EFFECTS..3D EFFECT..INNER BEVEL.
Then make these the settings. Then click OK

9.Now goto EFFECTS..3D EFFECT..DROP SHADOW.
Then make these the settings.then click OK

10.Now goto EDIT..COPY
Open up the ANIMATION SHOP 3.
Then goto EDIT..PASTE..AS NEW ANIMATION.
Then SAVE the picture.

Thats the tutorial finished.
Here's my metalic signature

Hee heee, well this was my first one, I wanted
to see what it would look like leaving the rainbow color on...

then, I put the corect color in and did it the right way...

This all depends on the colour background that you want to make transparent.
If the colour that you want transparent isnt in the picture that you want to keep it's very simple.
Open up the picture in Animation Shop 3.
Goto ANIMATION..REPLACE COLOUR.

That will give you a dropper.
Click in the bottom ..Where it says..WITH TRANSPARENT OPACITY.
Now click on the picture where you want it turned transparent.
Then click OK and watch the picture turn transparent.

If the background that you want to turn transparent is also in the picture then you have to edit the picture before going to animation shop otherwise when the colour is changed in the background it'll also change it in the picture.
Here's a way to do that first.

1.First select a colour in the foreground and stroke properties paint box that is not in the picture that you want to keep.
Then select the paint brush, you'll find it one above the Clone brush tool.
You can adjust the size of the paintbrush as you need it.
Goto VIEW..ZOOM IN MORE.
Now you have to Paint the places that you want transparent.
Adjust the brush as you need it to get closer to the image or in small places.

2.Once you've painted the area you want transparent in a colour thats not in the picture that you want to keep then goto EDIT..COPY

3.Now goto ANIMATION SHOP 3
EDIT..PASTE..AS NEW ANIMATION.
Now goto ANIMATION..REPLACE COLOUR.
Click WITH TRANSPARENT OPACITY.
Now click in the area you want transparent, click OK.
Keep going till the picture is transparent the way you need it

I dont know if it is part of the pic or not. Here are the things I was talking about....

I will go back to the site tho, cause the original pics didnt have the black background, that only showed up after I resized and rotated them. Anyway, is it part of the pic, or not?

Ok I found a place at that clip art site when your editing it to make it transparent. But it doesnt make the whole thing transparent.

It still shows the square around it not being transparent. The area around the sword itself is transparent, but there is a square that isnt showing up very well here! LOL How do I get rid of that. Or can I?
