Interesting one Steve ~ I have a bath big enough for two, which is great [on occasions] and also have a shower cubicle which is obviously more convenient. Since I fractured my spine, I had a problem with the bath ~ in trying to get out, and yet the soak for the damaged muscles was ideal ~ we have a 'very' close friend who helped my wife get me out of the bath the first time, took all of five minutes because of the pain [and they both laughed their heads off, being both ladies, I wasn't too sure what they were laughing at by the way...LOL] But for everyday convenience I would go with the shower ~ couple of hours in the garden, and then straight into lovely hot water ~ so all in all, I would go with the shower ~ unless we were saving money on water, and then of course it's "bathe with a friend" I mean one's wife of course............LOL
I have to say shower.
As i hate lying in the dirty bath water i feel much cleaner using a shower.
Also having rumpy pumpy in showers is easier and less messy. I mean water on the floor when i say messy
I have been to hotels where they have had a wet room. Ohhh what joy that is.
I have both a tub with a shower but I don't use it cause there is no way I can maneuver my chair into that little space just thank goodness I've got enough to swing onto the toliet. I like both though usually take a quite shower then sit in a hot tub and relixe when there is time. Although haven't done that in years I have to use the kitchen sink and soap up a washcloth and do my cleaning that way. Yes if you don't have a place with wheelchair accptence your kinda screwed that way.
Shower! I don't like soaking in dirty water! The last time a I a bath, which was over 30 years ago, I had just finished sanding a hardwood floor. When I saw what was floating in the water, I pulled the plug, turned on the shower head and really got cleaned.
