So, as I was watching some of the Barrett-Jackson auction last night, it occured to me: old cars are cool. And in particular, old race cars.
I don't know why it is, but it just is...and it was also brought to my attention as I was doing a Google search for info on an old sports/racing car, and then came across some dudes Flickr pics collection of some historical race somewhere, with some really cool, and some very unique (and some downright odd) race cars.
I don't know what makes old machines so cool, but maybe it was because they were trying out new technologies...well, new to the auto industry, as many of the technologies had been used in airplanes before...well, either way, without further adieu...I'ma start thangs off with the car that triggered the search, and this thread:
