Daily border crossings of illegal migrants over the past month have surpassed a daily average not seen since fiscal year 2006, stark evidence of the escalating situation at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers apprehended or stopped 3,974 illegal migrants on March 19, marking the single highest day since Present Donald Trump entered office, according to CBP data obtained by NBC News. There have been six other days in February where crossings surpassed 3,595, topping the 3,530 daily average seen in fiscal year 2006.

These seven days, which took place over just the past six weeks, are all the highest on record since the beginning of the Trump administration.
The latest numbers are not totally surprising. Illegal immigrant apprehensions have been steadily rising this year, and the Department of Homeland Security predicted total apprehensions in March would reach a high not seen in over ten years. The spring months typically witness greater rates of illegal migrants as more people are willing to make the trek across Mexico during the warmer weather.

The high number of migrant apprehensions at the U.S southern border has been garnering public attention. Border Patrol agents working near El Paso, Texas, for example, reported catching over 430 illegal immigrants over a period of just five minutes on March 19.

The type of immigrants seeking to enter the U.S. illegally are different from what was experienced in the late 1990s and early 2000s, many of whom during that period were adult Mexican nationals. The vast majority of illegals apprehended at the border today are families, and most of them are from Central America. Out of the 3,834 illegal migrants the CBP encountered on March 12, the majority of them (2,022) were members of a family unit.

The new demographics make it difficult for immigration enforcement officials to quickly deport them, leaving detention centers overwhelmed.

A spokeswoman for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed earlier in March that her agency has been forced to relieve overcrowded detainment centers by releasing 107,000 illegal immigrants in the past three months — a number that averages to over 1,000 illegals a day.
The flood of asylum requests and border crossings forced the El Paso Border Patrol sector to temporarily close its highway checkpoints. The checkpoint agents who typically check cross-border cargo for drugs are instead being redeployed to process the influx of asylum seekers.
The situation brings credence to President Donald Trump’s emergency declaration. The administration is using the emergency crisis to allocate billions in funds for border wall construction. Congressional Democrats, for their part, have heavily opposed Trump’s moves, passing a resolution through the House and Senate that condemns the declaration.

However, Trump vetoed the resolution, and Democratic attempts to override his veto failed in the House on Tuesday.

many of you will recall the story about the Honduran woman who complained about the food she was given by the kind citizens of Mexico, calling it pig food, well ... this pic was taken on Dec 6, she's enjoying quite the meal, right here in Dallas, and she didn't get here legally

it's that easy to get into this country illegally
remember this woman? I sure do ...

A caravan migrant from Honduras who complained about being given beans to eat during her journey through Mexico is now in a Texas jail facing one charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The woman became the topic of a viral video during her journey. The woman’s sister is also facing similar charges and both have an immigration detainer placed on them preventing them from bonding out.

Jail records from Dallas County jail revealed that Mirian Zelaya and Mirna Zelaya are both being held in a detention center on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

While jail records do not reveal the details that led to the charge, the news outlet Mundo Hispanico revealed that the two women allegedly beat another woman who was providing them with housing.

Mirian or Miriam Zelaya is a member of the much-publicized migrant caravan that traveled from Central America to the U.S. border. She became a viral sensation in Mexico in 2018 after she was interviewed at a migrant shelter in Tijuana on TV by the German network DW.

During the interview, she complained about being given a plate of beans for food. The woman said she and her daughter were tired from the journey and had been given pig food or “comida de chanchos.”

The video of the interview rapidly turned viral in Mexico, earning Zelaya the nickname #LadyFrijoles or Lady Beans. The backlash by caravan protesters rapidly spread throughout Mexico leading to news outlets finding her again.

Zelaya issued a public apology for her comments. Soon after Zelaya entered the U.S (illegally) and moved to Dallas where her sister Mirna was already living.

“I’m tired of being made to feel like a racist for standing up for myself in not wanting to pay for those who come into this country illegally when my ancestors came here legally, worked hard, and didn’t get any handouts. The population is growing enough as it is. Do everyone a favor and come here legally, work hard, and assimilate.” – American affected by immigration from Virginia.

“Since when is breaking the law good for America? I am tired of paying for people who are not supposed to even be in the country. I live in California and see taxpayer money for legal citizens’ issues being ushered to support illegals. Legal citizens deserve to have more money for schools, infrastructure, etc. They do not pay taxes like the media pushes unless it is sales tax. They are taking up room in our schools and forcing their culture on America. No one should be punished for taking pride in America. They send most of their money back to their country. It is a hoax that they put money back into the economy. Finally, if water is so precious in California, why have the illegals that use that resource for washing, drinking, showering, and using the restroom? In the meantime, we are all getting punished and paying higher costs.” – American affected by immigration.

“They get EVERYTHING handed over to them FOR FREE that TRUE Americans, vets, and the homeless DO NOT qualify for! FREE medical, housing, food, cash, education, and MUCH more! EX: Our worthless Governor is taking away my Medicaid ... I’m battling a multitude of life-threatening illnesses and I will NO LONGER be able to see a doctor or get my meds when Medicaid is done. He has literally signed my death warrant! HOWEVER, I’m certain (just as in the past) the government will find plenty of loopholes to make sure the illegals get to keep all their benefits THAT THEY’VE NEVER PAID INTO!” – American affected by immigration from Arizona.

BATON ROUGE, La. (KNOE) - The Louisiana Attorney General's office has announced the arrest of an undocumented immigrant accused of more than 100 counts involving sex crimes.

AG Jeff Landry (R) says 44-year-old Miguel Martinez was arrested on 100 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 years old, one count of production under the age of 13, and one count of sexual battery of a juvenile under the age of 13.

Landry says Martinez was living in Harvey, Louisiana illegally.

Landry says that Martinez was previously deported in 2005 and is a registered sex offender in California.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Acting U.S. Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan has approved a request to identify places to potentially house up to 5,000 unaccompanied migrant children, the Pentagon said on Wednesday.

In March, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) requested Pentagon support to identify locations to house unaccompanied migrant children through Sept. 30.

Migrant arrivals on the U.S. border with Mexico have been building steadily for months, driven by growing numbers of children and families, especially from Central America.

Pentagon spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Jamie Davis told Reuters Shanahan approved that request on Tuesday. Davis said HHS had made no request to actually house the children so far.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he was not reviving a policy of separating children from parents who had illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border, one day after media reports that his administration was considering putting it back in place.

In February Trump declared a national emergency to help build a border wall, which would allow him to spend money on it that Congress had appropriated for other purposes. Congress declined to fulfill his request for $5.7 billion to help build the wall this year.
The Republican president's latest pronouncements, including a threat to impose auto tariffs on Mexico, are in response to the rising number of migrants.

Trump has previously turned to the military to help with his border crackdown.

Last year, the U.S. military was asked to house up to 20,000 immigrant children but the space was never used.

Last month the Pentagon said it had shifted $1 billion to plan and build a 57-mile section of "pedestrian fencing," roads and lighting along the border with Mexico.

There are about 6,000 active duty and National Guard troops near the border.

Whenever the media screeches about President Donald Trump “putting kids in cages,” one can be sure the screecher is not fully familiar with the situation and does not actually care about the situation outside of politics.

When the news of family separations first “broke,” journalists were using a photo and an article showing children locked in chain-linked cages, like one would see at an animal shelter. The only problem, as many on the Right pointed out, is that the photo and article were from 2014, when Barack Obama was president, not Donald Trump.

The media has since shown outrage over the separations of families at the border due to the Trump administration’s previous “zero-tolerance” policy for crossing the border. But as Ben Shapiro wrote last year, the media’s facts are wrong:

“Trump isn’t forcing children away from parents. He’s enforcing the law on the books. The legislature can fix that law at any time. The facilities he’s using are the same facilities Obama used. Pretending that this is Japanese internment (as Laura Bush suggested) or the Holocaust (as General Michael Hayden suggested) is ridiculous. This policy ought to be fixed. But lying about it isn’t designed to fix it. It’s designed to prevent a fix by allowing Democrats to play political football with children, believing they’re winning a victory by holding Trump’s feet to the fire with pictures of crying children.”

But the media continues to handle the issue irresponsibly. On CNN Tuesday night, host Wolf Blitzer allowed a former Obama official (without designating her as such) to defend family separations under Obama as somehow benevolent, instead of Trump’s allegedly evil reasons. Sam Vinograd, a national security analyst for CNN who previously worked for Obama’s National Security Council claimed that when Obama separated children, he did so “for their protection.”

“When President Obama separated children from their families, Wolf, or from adults, Wolf, it was for their protection. It was if there was a risk of trafficking or other kind of harm that might have been incurred,” Vinograd said during a discussion of family separations. “But even if he did do that, why is Donald Trump saying that two wrongs make a right? Again, Obama wasn’t wrong, but so he’s saying that because something happened under President Obama, he’s repeating it and upping the ante. That’s an incredibly poor excuse. He’s systemized that inhumane treatment that, again, Obama was doing to protect the children.”

There is zero evidence that absolutely every separation under Obama was to get children away from traffickers and absolutely every separation under Trump was done for whatever racist intentions the media impugns onto Trump. In fact, a Senate report from January 2016, while Obama was still president, found that the Department of Health and Human Services had actually given more than a dozen immigrant children to human traffickers because it failed to adequately conduct background checks. The New York Times even reported on the situation.

And even if children were separated “for their protection,” why were they put in cages, as photos from the Obama years show?
Families were being separated under the Trump administration while adult family members – or the adult accompanying the child – was held in jail for illegally crossing the border. The Left’s argument against the separation essentially amounts to either not arresting people for breaking the law if they bring children along with them or putting kids in jail along with the adults who committed a crime.

There are many issues with the situation, but lies and distortions help no one.

The consequences to uninvited migrants who make dangerous journeys to our southern border -- and beyond -- are staggering.

Princeton Policy Advisors estimates that in 2018 this is what happened to migrants on their journeys to the United States:

→ 2,200 deaths

→ 118,000 women raped

→ 20,000 victims of kidnapping

→ 27,000 human trafficking victims

→ 81,000 people pressured into drug smuggling

Our immigration system plays a shamefully sad role in those results by enticing citizens of other countries to take these risks for themselves and even their children.

When open-borders politicians and media focus only on what they decry as inhumane treatment of illegal aliens at the border, they are actually fueling the humanitarian crisis themselves, NOT just at the border, but on the long and deadly journey to arrive.

The Trump administration’s discussion of a plan to drop illegal migrants off in sanctuary cities met with an unexpected pushback Thursday from some of the most vocal advocates of laxer immigration laws.

According to a Washington Post report published Thursday, the White House approached Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at least twice to propose that illegal border-crossers be transported to sanctuary cities.

The idea was initially floated by White House senior adviser Stephen Miller, who suggested that it would take some of the strain off the overcrowded detention centers while sending a message to sanctuary cities — most of which are controlled by opponents of the president’s immigration policies.

ICE called the proposal “inappropriate,” and argued that it could present a public relations problem. In a surprise move, a fair number of liberals sided with ICE. And some of them suddenly appeared to be concerned that a rapid influx of illegal migrants might actually pose some of the threats Trump has been claiming it would.

Actress Alyssa Milano, who has long been an advocate for fewer restrictions on migrant families, called the move “sick and twisted.”

Democratic presidential candidate Julian Castro lamented “the cruelty of this administration.”

CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin took things a step further, claiming Trump was using people like “pestilence to spread around the country.”

Seeing left-wing media folks who advocate for open borders lose their minds because immigrants will bring violence and crime to their cities is ... quite a sight.

Pelosi complaining that White House wanted to send any illegals crossing the border to her district in California. Wait...doesn’t she WANT them? Isn’t she ALL FOR sanctuary cities?

So ... it's okay to release them into the cities of Texas, but not the cities of California or New York?
some are calling it illegal ... but it's perfectly legal to turn them loose in El Paso?
and I thought illegal aliens are model citizens, not pestilence?
sanctuary cities have been claiming for years that they'd rather have illegal immigrants than U.S. citizens
I think it's a perfectly fair reply!

When Carolina Cano’s body turned up in a lake in Jersey City, New Jersey’s Lincoln Park in the early morning hours Sunday, March 24, foul play was immediately suspected.

Following a week of investigation and emerging details on last week’s arrest, new developments indicate that the man charged with raping and murdering Cano is Jorge Alberto Rios-Doblado, a 33-year-old Honduran twice deported from the United States.

Rios-Doblado’s identity was initially revealed to the public at 2:47 a.m. on March 31 through a series of tweets from the Hudson County Prosecutor, Esther Suarez, who has since charged him with murder, kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault.

According to a New York Post report, authorities indicated on Thursday that the suspect had a history with federal authorities, having twice been removed from the country between 2003 and 2004 for illegally entering at the Southwest Border near Laredo, Texas.

Rios-Doblado had somehow re-entered the country once more at an unknown date in recent years and taken up a more permanent residence.

Original reports from the Jersey Journal indicate that Cano — a nanny and Peruvian immigrant living in the United States for close to two years now — had been out for a jog early that Sunday morning when she was murdered.

An initial autopsy revealed that Cano had died from some mixture of strangulation and drowning, with signs of physical damage to the neck still present after her body was pulled from the water March 24 at 7:30 a.m.. She officially pronounced dead some two hours later.

According to court papers, local authorities identified Rios-Doblado with the help of the local surveillance footage, which captured the majority of what transpired on the morning of March 24.

The initial filings suggest Rios-Doblado “milled around” in the park, lying in wait for Cano as early as 5:20 a.m.

As Cano jogged past him, the perpetrator pursued Cano on foot, eventually catching her and strangling her with a cell-phone charging cord. The tapes then show Rios-Doblado leaving the park just before 6:30 a.m.

Official documents also say Rios-Doblado proceeded to a friend’s house where he asked the chilling question, “How much time do you think a person would get for killing someone?”

An official statement from Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Newark office indicates that a detainer has been served to once again deport Rios-Doblado should he not be found guilty for the crimes — which carries the possibility for lifetime imprisonment.

Rios-Doblado has, however, confessed to Cano’s rape and murder since being taken into custody according to local authorities.

A GoFundMe page has also been created for Cano’s family — all of whom still reside in Peru — to cover travel costs and the price of the funeral. And the page’s $5000 goal has been reached over the course of its nine-day lifespan.

On Apr 3, Jose O. Vasquez Guillen, age 19, was placed in jail for vehicular homicide based on signs of intoxication. Vasquez Guillen later admitted to “consuming multiple alcoholic beverages before driving.” Witnesses also reported that Vasquez Guillen was traveling at a speed significantly over the speed limit before the crash occurred.

The crash killed Mark J. O’Gara, 52, of St. Paul, and occurred just south of the St. Paul Downtown Airport near Concord and Page streets.

Vasquez Guillen was reported to have a Blood Alcohol Content of .149, well above the legal limit for anyover over the age of 21. State officials also reported to have never had a Minnesota driver’s license or state identification card.

After the crash, Vasquez Guillen was transferred from Ramsey County jail into the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). ICE spokesman Shawn Neudauer said that

Vasquez-Guillen is a citizen of El Salvador who entered the country illegally at age 15 in January 2016. 7 Months later, a federal judge ordered him deported after he failed to appear in court for his immigration hearing.

Just last week, Minnesota Democrat Representatives voted to allow undocumeneted immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses and earlier this month, a Minneapolis undocumented immigrant was arrested for having 64 lbs of meth in his apartment.

Yuma, Arizona Mayor Douglas Nicholls on Tuesday declared an emergency because the "catch-and-release" program is putting a strain on local shelters. Nicholls explained in a post on Facebook.

Today I proclaimed a local emergency in Yuma, due to the migrant family releases overwhelming the local shelter system. I am calling upon the federal government to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Yuma, as our NGO’s are overcapacity and cannot sustain providing this aid. I signed the proclamation of emergency and soon after spoke with media at approximately 3:15 pm ...

"...there's an emminent threat of having too many migrant releases into our community and it's above our capacity as a community to sustain," Nicholls said.

The mayor said he received a call from the shelter earlier in the day about their capacity. Their capacity is usually 150 but they can push it to 200. When the call was made Tuesday morning, the shelter already had 200 illegal aliens, with Border Patrol transporting 70 additional people. The shelter also anticipated receiving an additional 50 illegal aliens by the end of the day.

"The nonprofits have done a great job at trying to move migrants on to their final destinations, which is not Yuma. They're not looking to reside in Yuma. They're looking to reside in other destinations," Nicholls said.

The transportation issue, along with the backlog of aliens at the shelter, has created the capacity issue.

Nicholls said this declaration is designed to bring attention to the issues that are taking place along the border so they can be rectified across the country.

“So it’s with a heavy heart that I declare that we’re at this point but it is something that I believe we need to do to make sure that our community is maintained and that the human rights of all the migrants are also maintained and that we have a path forward that respects both,” he said.

The city also tweeted about the declaration:

Mayor: Migrants being released into the community faster than they are departing, and shelters and the staff to run them are at max capacity. A state of emergency is declared.

In a shocking incident that happened earlier this month, United States military commanders say a small group of armed Mexican soldiers briefly detained a pair of U.S. soldiers who were conducting a routine surveillance mission.

What’s worse: The U.S. soldiers were sitting on the Texas-side of the border when the incident occurred.
United States Northern Command told CNN the incident happened in the afternoon on April 13.

“On April 13, 2019, at approximately 2 p.m. CDT, five to six Mexican military personnel questioned two U.S. Army soldiers who were conducting border support operations in an unmarked [Customs and Border Protection] vehicle near the southwest border in the vicinity of Clint, Texas,” the military command said.

During the incident, the Mexican soldiers, who were armed with high-powered assault rifles, ordered the U.S. soldiers — one sergeant and a private — out of the unmarked vehicle, pointed their firearms at the U.S. personnel, and briefly detained them.
The Army sergeant, who was armed with his service pistol, was even disarmed, an incident report said.

“After a brief discussion between the soldiers from the two nations, the Mexican military members departed the area. The U.S. soldiers immediately contacted CBP, who responded quickly. Throughout the incident, the U.S. soldiers followed all established procedures and protocols,” John Cornelio, deputy director of public affairs for NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, told Newsweek.

The Mexican military personnel moved “tactically fast,” preventing the U.S. soldiers from radioing for backup. To make matters worse, both the uniforms of the Mexican soldiers and their truck were not marked with “identifiable seals or symbols.”

The incident took place south of the border fence, but north of the Rio Grande, the official border demarcation at that section of the border.
After the incident, Customs and Border Protection agents arrived at the scene, along with members from the soldiers’ regiment.
According to U.S. Northern Command: “An inquiry by CBP and DOD revealed that the Mexican military members believed that the US Army soldiers were south of the border.”

“Though they were south of the border fence, U.S. soldiers remained in U.S. territory, north of the actual border,” the statement explained.

An illegal immigrant living in Tennessee allegedly beat a baby to death after discovering he wasn’t the child’s father. He had been deported five times.

Police charged the 33-year-old Honduran national, Jose Avila-Agurcia, with murdering the four-month-old baby boy and put him in a county jail, according to a Fox affiliate.

Paramedics found the baby unresponsive after his mother called 911 on April 12, and took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The mother and Avila-Agurcia, her boyfriend, told police at the time they did not know what caused his death, but she later told police he had confessed to beating the child to death when he found out he was not the father.

The Washington Post buried the fact that the man is an illegal immigrant who had previously been deported five times in their report on the baby’s death, opting to go with the headline, “Police: Man killed baby after learning he wasn’t the dad.”

A spokesman for U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement told WaPo the agency has filed an immigration detainer.

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman wrote on Tuesday that after visiting the U.S.-Mexico border he believes the solution for the immigration crisis is a “high wall.”

“The whole day left me more certain than ever that we have a real immigration crisis and that the solution is a high wall with a big gate — but a smart gate,” Friedman wrote.

Friedman echoed those sentiments while appearing on CNN Wednesday night when pressed by Wolf Blitzer.
“Wolf, I’m as radically pro-immigration as they come,” Friedman said.

“But it’s pretty clear to me that unless we can assure a significant number of Americans that we can control our border, we’re never going to have the proper immigration flow I think we need, we desire, and that we have actually a moral responsibility — given our history as a nation of immigrants, and a refuge for people fleeing persecution.”

“We have a president who actually, when you think about it, Wolf, he has the chops with his base,” Friedman continued.

“If he were to sit down, call Nancy Pelosi up, say, ‘We’re going up to Camp David. You bring your immigration team, I’ll bring mine. I’ll leave Stephen Miller at home, and we will actually sort out a compromise here.’ … Democrats were ready to fund more border security, but at the same time we’re going to create a legal pathway for people here, limits the number of ICE arrests and we’re going to have a rational inflow of people.”

Immigration and the southern border are likely to be key issues President Donald Trump campaigns on in 2020. He has tweeted about the subjects multiple times in recent days.

“Can anyone comprehend what a GREAT job Border Patrol and Law Enforcement is doing on our Southern Border,” Trump tweeted. “So far this year they have APPREHENDED 418,000 plus illegal immigrants, way up from last year. Mexico is doing very little for us. DEMS IN CONGRESS MUST ACT NOW!”

“Mexico’s Soldiers recently pulled guns on our National Guard Soldiers, probably as a diversionary tactic for drug smugglers on the Border,” Trump tweeted. “Better not happen again! We are now sending ARMED SOLDIERS to the Border. Mexico is not doing nearly enough in apprehending & returning!”

“A very big Caravan of over 20,000 people started up through Mexico,” Trump tweeted. “It has been reduced in size by Mexico but is still coming. Mexico must apprehend the remainder or we will be forced to close that section of the Border & call up the Military. The Coyotes & Cartels have weapons!”

“The American people deserve to know who is in this Country,” Trump tweeted. “Yesterday, the Supreme Court took up the Census Citizenship question, a really big deal. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

This week, Trump signed a “memorandum ordering the secretary of state and the secretary of homeland security to submit plans within four months to crack down on overstays, such as punishing countries whose citizens have high rates of overstays and requiring foreign travelers to post ‘admission bonds’ that would be repaid once they leave the country.”

Authorities in Pima County, AZ warn that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials are straining public resources by releasing individuals and migrant families into Tucson, AZ in absence of proper facilities to detain thousands of illegal aliens. The problem has become exacerbated now that Customs and Border Patrol have begun releasing illegal aliens into the already overburdened city as well.

According to Rafael Carranza, Arizona Republic, "Pima County officials estimate that ICE has released about 7,000 migrants in Tucson in the past eight months." This is because ICE physically does not have the space needed to keep illegal aliens in custody while they are processed for asylum claims as well as other background checks. Border Patrol typically hands illegal aliens over to ICE. But, due to ICE's over capacity, Border Patrol has simply started released migrants into Tucson as well. During a Friday meeting between Border Patrol and city officials, the two sides discussed proper ways to remedy the situation while ensuring public safety and efficient management of resources.

via Arizona Republic:
The number of migrant families released in Tucson has surpassed the ability of local nonprofits to house them. This past week, the city of Tucson and Pima County opened temporary overflow shelters to house migrants, although those shelters are once again empty, at least for now.
The goal of Friday's meeting is to "alleviate some of the stressors that we've been seeing with this increase in people," said Pete Bidegain, a special-operations supervisor for the Border Patrol.
"One of the major concerns that was brought up numerous times in the meeting really comes down to better communication between federal officials, county officials, city officials," he added.

Bidegain and Border Patrol have not said how many illegal aliens have been released into Tucson. These families are dumped into the city, given orders to show up for a court appearance later on, and are simply trusted by the government to come for their hearing. This practice, otherwise known as "catch and release," continues a year after President Trump signed a memo ordering the policy to stop.

Bidegain told Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild that remedies such as giving city officials a heads-up when a new busload of illegals would be shipped there could assist the city and non-profits in housing the families.

Mayor Rothschild also said that if the buses could simply go directly to the non-profit, that would help as well. "If the loaded buses from Border Patrol can go not to the bus station, but to the site of where the (nonprofit) is located, that would be a big help because that saves us a lot as a community," Rothschild said.

This report comes as President Trump told Fox News Mario Bartimoro today that the immigration crisis is so bad because "...our laws are so bad. The combination of having a great economy and having the weakest immigration laws anywhere in the world by far, and we have catch and release, and we have chain migration, and the visa lottery, we have things that nobody in their right mind would have. We're trying to get rid of them, the Democrats won't do it. We need some Democrats votes, we're unanimous with the Republicans but we need some Democrat votes and they go out of their way to allow these people to come in."
