I love my guy, but sometimes I don't understand his idea of being "helpful". He comes up to me like "I carved you a life size unicorn out of single piece of wood. You can use it's horn to hang your coat."

and I'm like

"That's great, but I asked you to change the light bulb in the kitchen a week ago and you still haven't done it". Priorities....

How about all the things they do to create something they say will save us time, and then (after they complete it) it takes hours to clean up the mess they made.

Totally! Especially when he cooks. Does it really take three pots to make spaghetti? LOL

Oh Hon, take it from a woman with experience...he not only NEEDS to use three pans to cook spaghetti (cauldron sized) But he just has to fry something on high so grease is doing a happy dance all over your stove!

and it takes 3 times as long to clean up the dishes and the kitchen than it takes him to cook a meal. And yep ... he has to cook everything with the stove turned all the way up.

That's why they make outdoor grills.

he "helps me" by doing his own laundry, yet I rarely fail to find his clothes still in the machines when I go to do my laundry lol

I'm taking a risk here to be considered a traitor....and it may sound like a cheesy joke.........but why would I sit in the dark for a week....... waiting for him to change the lightbulb?

It`s the crayon that got pushed up my nose.
I made it worse when i picked my nose and shoved further in and now i can`t stop it from rattling about inside my head.
Nope!That never helped either.

the step stool isn't high enough, I'd need a ladder, and hubby keeps those on his truck, so if he's here, he might as well do it lol
in his defense, he is very good about changing that light, prolly cuz he spends more time in the kitchen these days than I do lol
