I can well understand that ~ over the years, when I was driving around everywhere, I had my cameras in the boot ~ Canon outfit, and Bronica ~ so I had them available ~ plus a small Olympus in the car with me. Now I try and walk most places, told to by the quack to help my spine, so with the weather becoming kinder, will be taking the new 'toy' out and getting use to it.
No help I'm afraid. When you look at the nest you think "That must be high enough", then we get the wrong weather conditions with the wrong tide and it's under water for a couple of hours and the eggs drown.
Finally got nice weather to have a short play with my new Nikon camera on the way to work. A nice sunny morning, warmer than it has been and less windy with a tide high enough to submerge the edge of Vire Island.
I'm usually an hour earlier and miss the worst of the rush to work across Totnes Bridge. The moorings will soon be occupied for the summer so it was a chance to get a shot of the rows of buoys either side of Totnes Bridge.
It's another nice day. The air is not as clear as yesterday and I'm told there was a mist over the Bridgetown (east) side of town early this morning. I decided to walk to work up the hill past the castle then down through the back streets of town today.
Lovely walk along the river this morning, but disappointing with the new camera; for some reason every picture was very slightly out of focus. I'll have to have a play and see if I can work out what I was doing wrong.
