Last week I spent £115 ($150) on a telephoto zoom lens for my Nikon camera. It's manually operated rather than controlled by the camera software as a digitally controlled version would have cost me over $1,000, but photographers have been getting pretty good results for decades before digital arrived so I thought I'd have a go.
The weather this Easter weekend has been bright and sunny as forecast. Unfortunately it has also been hazy and as I wanted to use the lens to get long range shots of the moor I have been frustrated and have yet to use it.
Nevertheless, I took a walk this morning mostly down rarely used lanes and enjoyed it immensely.
