The morning moon was rapidly setting. Between selecting the place for these shots and setting up the camera I had to move a little to get the shots I wanted, as the moon had sunk lower and to the right.
A clear, cold, bright morning today. By meandering around on Vire Island this morning I noticed this clear view through the trees, upstream through the easternmost arch of the bridge to a boat on the bank. It immediately struck me as a perfect representation of an autumn morning under trees.
Overnight gales were still blowing this morning and the "Gold on grey" tree now has less than 50% of the leaves it had yesterday.
Holly, on the other hand, is coming into its own locally, showing berries just in time for use in Christmas wreaths and decorations.
