Actually, I don't know that much about Seal to be honest...I just know that I loved that song from the moment it came out. Of course, he was also working with one of the best modern producers (in my opinion), Trevor Horn, who was in the bands Art Of Noise, Yes, and The Buggles (remember the song Video Killed The Radio Star...he was the singer)...but that was also just such a great and simple song, and there's an acoustic version he does of the song that is good too...maybe I'll post that as well...

I LOVE Satch...I always have. I mean, I like Vai too, but to me, Satriani just has a better sense of phrasing...though, I still dig Vai's stuff as well...I just have to be in the *right* mood to listen to it, where I can listen to Satch's stuff almost anytime...

No worries...yeah, I found out about him from a guy I used to work with, who also played guitar...yeah, Andy McKee is a pretty amazing player, and has such a cool approach to the instrument...

I would love to see him in concert someday.Phil Keaggy is in the contempory Christian genre, but alot of his music on his albums is without lyrics. I think I remember a long time ago, I heard that when Hendricks was alive, during an interview or something, he was asked if he thought he was the best guitar player, and he said no, their was someone that was better than him, and he named Phil Keaggy. I'll have to see if I can find that online somewhere and see if that is true. I don't know why I remember that, ...it was a loooooooong time ago !! hahaha |

here's one of Vai's old songs, and one that got me hooked on his playing...
It's called The Attitude Song, and it features Mike Keneally on guitar, T.M. Stevens on bass, and Mike Mangini on drums (what a band!), haha...and of course, Steve Vai on guitar as well...

Oh yeah, that's gooood. I know we have
some of his CD's here somewhere. lol Well, I found out that was a rumor about Hendrix/Phil Keaggy, and that Seal's scars are from Lupus. How did we ever get by without the info. Hiwy. going through the living room??? hehehe Here's another Keaggy clip.... So peaceful...I could take a nap to his, and clean the house to Vai and Joe. lol I just realized he's missing half of his middle right finger. |
