BK has since issued an apology
But, as a manger myself, rules are rules
Kid gets their foot cut or something, they'd be too quick to sue me

Would you have made the same decision, including saying the police would be called if the family didn't leave? Just curious.

I was a supervisor too and my company always said that the rules were for non-management. They do not have the option to override the rules and guidelines.

Supervisors, however, made judgement calls based on individual circumstances.

Remember too, the response was based on health code.. not safety. hmmm....[/FONT]

I used to take my little guy into family restaurants alot when he was about that age. We went for midday walks everyday. Never had him barefoot though lol. He always had on those one-piece rompers that had the feet sewn in. [/FONT]

I wouldn't have called the cops or even said anything to them unless or until the kid did start walking around barefoot
People carry their youngins in barefoot all the time
Sorta gripes my nerves some when I see 'em holding the kid up and have their feet on the table.....I just make sure the server sanitizes the surface really well
