Hi, everybody.
Well, it seems as if I am spending my life in court! The custody and finance stuff is taking forever.
Exxie is engaged to marry her step-dad's brother (her uncle) in March, but unlike with Debbie, the kids don't like "Mr. Lynn". He has evidentally verbally abused William so much that the judge refused to allow him to stay in Exxie's home, and Deb and I are getting him.
Exxie is planning to move in with her Mom and Step-dad, while starting her new job as her fiance's personal secretary, in spite of the fact that she has had only one keyboarding class in high school. I wonder what her duties will be??
Originally, Deb, William and I were supposed to move into the family home when Exxie and her fiance left, but she REALLY doesn't want us there and has tried to sell it out from under us. I have a secret, though. My Mom (Still alive, though the doctors gave her a week to live back at the first of November) is set to give me a piece of property less than two blocks away from the family home. She is waiting for all of the division of property to take place, so iot will not be considered in the divorce. Then, using our share of the home-sale money, including $5000 back payments from her, Deb and I will put our own dream home on the lot. (I am told that land down here is the huge expense, and that the actual home costs a LOT less to build than the cost of the property.)
PLUS, we are getting two "Fix-em-up"s to use for rental houses!
Late letters she has addressed to the court have stated that she left me because she wanted to live closer to her Mom, but as my job became more secure, and the house got settled, it became obvious that this was not going to happen. We had spent EVERY Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter with her Mom, and part of every summer. I had not known that she was still home-sick. :(
Have also discovered that Exxie has another court date this week. She has, I guess, charged a number of men from her former church with fondling our youngest daughter. The first one comes up for trial on Tuesday.
Well, that's all the news at this time. WE HAVE WILLIAM, and when the matter is re-visited this summer, I think Sarah, our youngest, will want to be with us as well!
Have a great Christmas, all, with your own families! We will have a wonderful time with ours! God is good.

To tell you the truth, Carole, I don't know what to believe, here. All of the incidents occured in rooms with a lot of people, none of whom saw anything except Exxie. Exxie, remember, has also told women in that church that she could tell by looking at a man's eyes whether or not he had ever seen pornography, and taxed a few marriages with that.
My daughter wavers on her testimony, sometines saying it happened, sometimes saying it didn't. I would hate to think that lives are being ruined by false testimony, and I would also hate to think that my daughter was hyanded over to abusers the moment I left.
Grrrr.

Thanks, Andi.
I am still, three weeks later, in shock. We were supposed to have been on vacation. We were supposed to talk, and I was supposed to be re-assuring her. And we were supposed to have finished this house.
Now she's gone, and I don't know why. I kinda' knew that, as sick as she was, that someday I would wake up and find that she had passed in the night. I kinda' thought we had several more years, though, at least.
We had her "toy bag" all packed for the trip. My family came in and tried to help me go through her things. My daughter picked up that bag. THAT woke me up in a hurry!! LOL.
Seriously, I am still a zombie. Time just escapes me. I do STUPID things, and can't even remember to eat, sometimes.
Damn, I miss her.
Damn, I miss her.
PS:
I keep telling you about a keepsake Deb and I got for you for the Roovention. I even offered to send it to you once, BUT I can't find it and believe it was probably stolen in one of the break ins. I can't even find a PICTURE of it, now. It was a statue of Betty Boop manacled to a peace sign.
We both though of you the moment we saw it, lol.

lol I love it... Thanks!!! I really wish I'd gotten to meet you and Debbie that year at the Roovention. I still have never made one or a Tooner's either. I am also very sorry that I haven't been around much (anywhere) in the last year or so. I've missed my friends and I regret losing that time with all of you.

Nobody expects you to have it together right now and if they do you just tell them where to catch the next bus... It's going to take you and the kids some time before you can move forward again but I have no doubt you will. You and your kids are definitely survivors; no doubt about that. Just let the grieving process run it's course and treasure your best memories... They say, "time heals all wounds." I don't know if that's true or not but I'm sure it will help. Things will get better.

Speaking of toys... Remind me to tell you an ugly story about some yellow lace panties, a kitchen table, and the Schwan's man. I promise YOU WILL laugh.

Thank you. She had a lot to teach people, especially me, about how to live. I may post some about the abuse and fear she had to grow up with and how she still managed to be loving and open and unguarded.

Hey, Andi:
You have not posted here in nearly 2 months. I know, I checked. I have called you 4 times, once catching you at work, and three times hitting your voice-mail box which you STILL have not set up. This can only mean one of three things:
1. You are sick. I hope that this is not the case, but if it is, I hope you have someone who can let us know so that we can put you in the prayer threads.
2. You don't want to talk to me. In that case, giving me your real number was a bit silly. Most girls know that if you don't want to talk to someone, you give them a phony number. It's probably because you are embarrassed about that silly Schwann's man story. Don't worry. I have already imagined quite a lot of things that are probably much more embarrassing than the real story, so you are not obligated.
3. You are too busy. This is the most likely reason, and it might be because of work or family, but I kinda' hope it's because you found some guy who makes your mouth water and your flesh tingle and are getting on with the wet and tingly.
Just a note to say that William found 2/3 of the Betty Boop statue amidst that disaster that happened to our stuff in storage. When we find the third piece, we will Superglue it back into one piece and mail it to you. Deb wanted you to have it. :)

I got a few pictures of that house thing.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

This kind of thing happens there about every year. Stolen this time: The table and chairs in the first picture, an apartment washer/dryer, two bicycles, a microwave oven, TWO refrigerators, and A WATER HEATER!!
The police say, again, it's not a big enough deal for them to investigate.

Deb's resting place. In Eeyore's arms. Remind me to tell you all a funny story about that, involving a recent Bible study, where Eeyore came up.

LOL! I hadn't noticed Mischief's head in the photo when I posted it.
