Totnes Gardens, the people who plant the wildflower border and the tubs on Steamer Quay, are also in charge of a public rockery next to the Rugby Club. One of the most prominent plants there at the moment is festooned with these blooms at the moment, up to 2 inches, 5 cm, across.

The second galleon
by Phil Gayton, on Flickr

There are several of those wooden block benches around The Harte, each with a couple of different inscriptions. This one reads "This galleon installed in 2012 to replace the boat built in 1988 on the 400th anniversary of the victory over the Spanish Armada".

The tenancy agreement for the new flat was waiting for me when I got home. I read it through and had a couple of queries I wanted clearing up, so went to see the estate agent mid-morning. On the way back I took this shot.

I cleared up the queries, popped in to The Albert to get the landlord to witness the agreement for me and have since signed it myself and delivered it.

Having arranged the deposit and monthly payments from my bank to the landlord, I can collect the keys any time tomorrow.
