I stayed home yesterday with a streaming cold and nasty headache. Felt quite a bit better this morning, despite the nose still dripping like a leaky faucet, so took the shortest route to work, with a brief detour on to Vire Island hoping for some photographic inspiration. Not a lot to grab the attention, really.

What a difference! After a couple more very wet mornings it wasn't looking promising at 7 AM as it was raining again. I was in no rush, and left home about an hour later than usual, by which time the clouds had mostly cleared away.

It was another frustrating weekend: for the 4th Saturday in succession I didn't get to go to Barnstaple as planned due to cancelled trains.

Monday morning was bright if a little hazy, and warm for the time of year. There are signs that spring is almost here everywhere, made more noticeable on a sunny morning.
